On Sunday afternoon, 5-9-04, at about 3:00 PM police
units answered numerous calls of shots being fired near
54 El Basset Ct.
One group of Hispanic males were standing near the north
side of the court drinking when a car occupied by at
least 3 other Hispanics drove up and began shooting. The
pedestrians returned fire. Police found 45 caliber shell
casings at the scene. The pedestrians got into a Gray
Nissan and chased the first vehicle, a light blue Honda
Accord from the area. There were no reports of injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
