  • Financial qualifications: net worth of least $1.2 million and liquid assets of at least $600,000. (Our minimum development requirement is 3 restaurants).
  • Operations experience: Experience in foodservice operations, multi-unit management, franchising, and/or business development.

Q: What are the franchise fees?

A: $32,500 per franchise.

Q: What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?

A: A Franchise Agreement has a term of 20 years, with an option to renew for an additional 20-year period.

Q: What are the estimated equipment and building costs?

A: Estimated equipment and building costs are approximately $492,500 - $666,000, exclusive of land for a full size Krystal restaurant.

Q: What is the minimum size lot requirement for a free-standing 
     Krystal KP-M restaurant?

A: 30,000 sq. ft. with a minimum frontage of 135 ft. before setbacks and easements.

Q: What is the minimum size lot requirements for a free-standing 
     Krystal SB restaurant?

A. 23,000 sq. ft. with a minimum frontage of 110 ft. before setbacks and easements.

Q: What are the ongoing fees?

A: A 4.5% royalty fee and 4% advertising fee.
